An initiative of promoting the organic products grown in our farm at Shikohabad.
Paryavaran Mitra has participated in Farmer’s Market arranged by Kavita Mukhi at Bandra and Mahalaxmi in Mumbai, where Farmers can directly make available their Organic produce to the end users. This Market educate consumers about the benefits of going Organic.
The products on display at the stall were: Jowar, Garlic, Onions, Potatoes, Sweet Corn, Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds, Onion seeds etc.
The event was a big success. The visitors showed keen interest in the products and
bought/booked orders for different types of grains.
Encouraged by responses in the Farmer’s market, we continued promoting the organic products to the BEL employees as well.
Amla
Only fresh or dried fruits of Amla are used for medicinal purposes.
Amla is one of the three fruits mixed to prepare popular medicine of India – Trifala. Other
two are Harad (Terminalia chebula ) and Baheda (Terminalia bellirica).
Trifala is a laxative and it is used in case of inflammation of the Liver, haemor rhoids , eyediseases and stomach ailments.
In case of the diseases (such as Scurvy) caused by the deficiency of Vitamin ‘C’, Amla is very beneficial.
Jam of Amla is used in the form of a medicine. The fruits of Amla are used for making ink, hair washing mixture and oil.
