Awareness Drive during Rathayatra festival

Bhubaneswar PM parivar conducted an Awareness programme during Rathayatra at Bhubanesear. The programme was organized in Gundicha Mandir, where Rathayatra is celebrated by the ISKON authorities, on 11th July, Friday.
Banners with PM slogans and logo were displayed at the main Entrance of the temple, in front of the deities and on the chariot of lord Jagannatha.
PM leaflets were also distributed and the interested people who approached the representatives were oriented on the objectives and initiatives of Paryavran Mitra.
Activity-2: Awareness Campaign cum Plantation Drive
Venue: Bharatiya Vidyalay, Unit – IX, Bhubaneswar

Paryavaran Mitra representatives assembled in Bharatiya Vidyalay on 19th July at 8 AM.
To begin with PM Co-ordinator gave her inaugural speeh on our PM objectives and requested everyone to norture the idea of planing atleast one sapling for public awareness. BSSM Mr. P.K. Tripathy explained everthing in detail – our responsibility towards future generation, to abandon usage of plastic, to create greenery wherever possible and in particular plantation of tree in massive scale to inhale fresh air for better living.
Mrs. Mukti Mohapatra, Headmistress of the school highlighted on pollution free environment in her speech. She advised all the students to keep the surroundings neat and clean and not to waste water, rather to conserve it for future generation. Mr. Saroj Dash one of the school teachers also spoke on this occasion and recited some sanskrit sloka concerning Paryavarn and how to protect our mother earth.
The Head mistress planted the first sapling and then students adopted a plant each, planted them in the compound and enthusiastically agreed to maintain the adopted plant. About 150 students and 20 teachers were present in the program. They together planted 15 saplings and shown interests to plant more.
The School authorities are very much convinced by the noble cause and assured to co-operate with Paryavaran Mitra in every manner to safeguard Paryavaran. Mrs. Mohapatra appreciated such venture for such a timely initiative taken by PM to safeguard the nature.
To end with the program light refreshment was given to the students.
In order to attract attention of devotees during Rathayatra festival and make them aware PM Banners with messages were displayed by Paryavaran Mitra at Gundicha temple, Bhubaneswar. PM Banners were displayed on the Chariot of Lord Jagannatha and at the main entrance of the temple.
