On 2nd June 2008 we had called for a meeting to discuss on the subject and distributed the work amongst the Parivar members. On 3rd June we circulated a Notice inviting all our Parivar members and CFA Staff to join in the Padayatra. We requested all our Dealers, Associates to join with us on 5th June ’08 for a meaningful coverage. We have prepared PM Placards & Banners to exhibit the same during Padayatra.
On 5th June’08 morning at 6.30 a.m. we all assembled in our office premises and make all Preparations to start the programme.
The PADAYATRA started at 7.00 a.m., from our office to Master Canteen Square, State Assembly (PMG Square), Road connecting to Reserve Bank & Secretariat, Homeopathic College and back to Office.
Shri R.B. Baliarsingh, Hon’ble MLA of Sakhigopal Constituency joined us at 7.45 am and took part in Padayatra. Our BSSM Mr. P.K. Tripathy welcomed him to the Padayatra. He was very much impressed for this type of activity and advised us to conduct other types of programmes with school children in his constituency.
We returned from Padyatra at 8.00 am and BSSM addressed all the participants in front of the office. He distributed plants to all the Parivar members and advised to take utmost care to grow the plants. He also presented a tiny Plant to Sardar Jaspal Singh, Secretary Gurudwara Singh Sabha and explained him the noble cause for which Paryavaran Mitra is aiming at.
At 8.15 am we conclude the programme with light snacks and BSSM thanked everyone for their whole hearted co-operation.
BHUANESHWAR – Padayatra on World Environment Day and Awareness / Plantation Drive on 21st June 2008.
As per schedule, we organised a Tree Plantation Drive & Awareness Campaign at B.J.E.M. School – II, Satyabhamapur, Bhubaneswar onTthird Saturday i.e. 21.6.2008.
On 18th June 2008 we approached the School Manager, Mr. Pratap Jena and conveyed him our objectives on Paryavaran. The idea was well appreciated by him and he gave consent to conduct the Plantation Drive at the School on 21.6.2008. We had been to their school site office and physically inspected the place for plantation drive.
On 21.6. 2008 we reached at the school at 9.00 a.m.. We made all arrangements at School for plantation and a formal meeting for PM awareness.
We displayed PM Banner, exhibited PM Posters for awareness. From School side they displayed their Banner and some of the paintings for environment protection.
Around 10.15 a.m. the school authorities (Chairman, Vice chairman, Principal, Manager
and a local environmentalist) arrived at the venue. BSSM received them with all
plesantries. They were quite enthused by seeing our arrangement.
After 15 minutes the School bus with their School children, scouts boys, teachers and
Other members of the school arrived and assembled at the place.
At 10.45 a.m. the Meeting started. PM Co-ordinator welcomed all the guests, Students & techers. She thanked the school authorties for their kind consent and co-operation to conduct the plantation drvie in their school.
BSSM also gave his introductory speech and highlighted our vision to achieve our Corporate social responsibility and the immediate urge to protect the Paryavaran.
BSSM requested Principal Mr. J.K. Mohanty to share his views on Paryavaran. During his address, Mr. Mohanty made the students undertand the need to plant more and more trees for energy conservation and how we all are indebted to nature.
The School Chairman citing with small examples attempted created awareness in the minds of tiny tots to protect the enviroment by planting more and more trees.
Two girl students also spoke on this occasion quoting vital points.
The meeting concluded at 12.00 noon.
The plantation drive strated at 12.10 p.m. The school authorities selected very good
sites for plantation. Adjacent to boundary wall and main approaching road leading
to the school we have planted the saplings along with their School authorities, Teachers and Scout boys.
Near the plantation site, facing to the Main road we have installed a Tin Board displaying the Plantation Drive done by Paryavaran Mitra, Bhubaneswar.
The plantation activity continued for an hour or so. After that we distributed light snacks to the school children. The school authorities impressed with our initiative, have given their consent for other types of PM activities i.e. Debate competition, quiz competition and cleanliness drive etc. in the school.
