Delhi PM Parivar had organized plantation drive at MCD Primary School, Okhla, New Delhi on 17/ 03/ 2008 and celebrated ‘World Forest Day’. Mr.Zuber Khan, Executive Director, SAKSHI NGO was invited as Chief Guest on this occasion. Mr. Rehman, Principal of the School, Mrs. Asha, Asstt. Teacher of the school, Mr. Lalit Mohan Nayak, Regional PM Coordinator (North), PM & Students (Nursary to 5th Stds) participated on this occasion. Debate competition was organized among the students on “Importance of Tree in our life”. Students participated in large number. Principal of the school & Asstt. Teacher Mrs. Asha briefed the students about the World Forest Day. Regional PM Coordinator impressed upon the students to plant more trees in the premises of school, garden, religious places, park & home and the importance of taking care of the plants to ensure their proper growth. Mr. Zuber Khan shared his views about the ‘World Forest Day”, why it is celebrated on this day and the importance of this day? In addition to above, the monthly magazine “Pratham Impact” having its large circulation in Delhi, published an article regarding Paryavaran Mitra.
