- From time to time, Paryavaran Mitra organizes meetings with expert environmentalist to discuss Alarming increase in environmental pollution. And these discussions are always received wide coverage in local newspapers and other medias
- Now yet another concrete step has been taken by Paryavaran Mitra by including all the N.G.O.’s working in Distt. Firozabad. A meeting was organised on 24th January 06 under the banner of “Sahyatra” where in 20 representative of 15 N.G.O’s took part. Information was shared and all of them promised to hold meetings on a regular basis in future and to work for common minimum programme for the protection of environment.
Patna Pariwar took initiative for spreading details and objectives of Paryavaran Mitra at Girls Middle School, Jamui. On their motivation teachers of school took both for devoting one hour per day for environmental education. That is how can small efforts will make big difference in future by practicing avoid use of poly bags, save water, importance of trees in human life etc.
Kolkata Pariwar organized an awareness programme on 26th May 06, in which banners printed in local language were displayed and leaflets of objectives of Paryavaran Mitra were distributed. 3 Wall paintings were also made.
Hyderbad Pariwar conducted meetings and highlighted the need of good environment, Clearing all unwanted things. In these meeting effects of using of plastic bags also discussed. ANTI CIG TABLETS were provided to all smokers. All dealers/Friends/Transporters/Family were approached to become Paryavaran Mitra.
Mumbai pariwar under took one day campaigning programme. Under the leadership of Sri Ravishankar and Sri Sriniwas Gokhale. They visited Lalbaug Junction, Sunderji Liladhar Chawl at Sewree, Policeman Colony at Mahim, Khira Nagar at Santacruz, Shrirang Co-Operative Society and Teen Haath Naka at Thane and other places. In this stickers were posted at various location, leaflets were distributed and banners were displayed. Cleaning and digging was also done at Sewree for plantation. Plantation activity was also done at policeman colony.
Ahamdabad Pariwar organized tree plantation on 31st May 06 in Maharshi Ghosh Garden, Naranpura. Among gathered children of various age group importance of plantation to keep the city clean and green was emphasized. They were given underline scientific understanding.
Raipur Pariwar invoked environmental awareness in a programme of World Food Programme of United Nations on 21st June, 06 at Jashpur Nagar Jashpur, Dist. Chhattisgarh. In the gathering of school teacher and block representative of entire district, continuous degradation of the environment causing global warming, floods, detoriation of physical and mental health and other things were explained. A apeel was made for tree plantation control of the use of plastic bags and importance of water purification.
Chandigarh Pariwar spread the message of Paryavaran Mitra by distribution of posters and wall writing.
