On 11th Aug 2005, the foundation of Rain Water Harvesting Project was laid at Shikoabad Hind Lamps guest house, by famous environmentalist Sri Rajendra Singh as an experiement. This project is now completed.
There is full fledged water effluent plant installed in the Factory premises of Hind Lamps and waste water is recycled for farming and gardening.
On 12th January 2006, more than 200 Girls of B.D.M. Post Graduate Girls College did voluntary work for digging of water tank for collecting rain water in Nagla Bhoop.
Apart from these activities there are several awareness campaigns and activities are organized by PM in and around Shikoabad.
