Holi
Holi is a festival of joy and gaiety. It signifies the victory of truth and
devotion over evil. In Indian mythology, it is victory of the eternal devotee Prahlad who stands the test of truth. His devotion for Lord Vishnu triumphs over the evil scheming of his father Hiranyakashya and his aunt Holika. This is a festival to sprinkle the colours of love, and not allow for toxicity of chemical colours. Nor is it the time to burn precious wood and produce extra amount of carbon dioxide. The celebration of Holi should remain a symbolic expression.
